10 years of Momice.
The highlights of our journey
2012: The idea
Momice founders Bram, Eva, and Rutger met at Event Agency International Orange. They shared the same frustration: there was no good event software available. As a result, event managers were 'distracted' from what really mattered: hospitality and a pleasant experience for the guest.
Time for a change. Let's build it ourselves! 💪2013: The launch
Momice was one of the first SaaS providers of event software in the Netherlands. The event website was specially designed for mobile use, as an alternative to complex event apps. This is how the name "MObile site for MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions)" came about.
Also, Mo the mouse, our witty Mascot, was born. 🐭2014: Launching customers
Big names dared to engage with Momice early on: Vodafone, Heineken, ABN-AMRO, PON, O-Bureau, Achmea, and Topsport Amsterdam.
Meanwhile, the software had been expanded with new modules: Mail, Registration, and Survey.
Fun fact: the aforementioned companies are still loyal customers of Momice. ♥️2015: A year full of events
Momice is more than just a software company. Momice Design Studio was created for designing and styling websites and mailings.
But our clients were also increasingly attending knowledge events about event organization and the tool: the Momice Insight Sessions.2016: Software with added service
By now, Momice handles highly complex registration processes, such as the KLM Open. But smaller organizations can also outsource their event registration and communication to Momice Agency.
Websites, mailings, registration, or event branding? Momice Agency takes care of it all.2017: Ticketing & improved design
Momice continues to evolve based on feedback from its customers. Since 2017, you can also sell tickets for paid events with Momice.
The event website and emails also received a major design upgrade; Momice became a full-fledged competitor for Mailchimp and Wordpress! 🎖️2018: Blueprint method for events
2018 was a great year for Momice. From the new office in Amsterdam Zuidoost, a handy event tool was developed: the Event Blueprint. This tool helps to event pro’s with their objectives, target audience analysis, and result measurements.
The Momice brand also underwent a complete rebranding, and we laid the foundation for a new series of events: Connecting the Dots.2019: Connecting the Dots
The Connecting the Dots series is a great success. Event professionals are immersed in Momice's vision, aiming to maximize events' contribution to the organization's growth objectives. They themselves experience the ultimate event experience and learn about topics such as behavioral change, relationship management, and event strategy.
Momice had its best year to date, and the team now consists of 27 people.2020: We didn't let COVID-19 defeat us.
2020 was a challenging year for the events industry. The coronavirus caused clients to withdraw or tighten their budgets. We were forced to truly empathize with the event manager; what do they need NOW?
Rapidly, Momice emerged as a valuable partner in the world of online & hybrid events.
The 'Check-in & badges' feature was also launched: quick & contactless on-site badge printing. This feature is now the highest-rated Momice feature.2021: Momice Online
After 9 months of hard work, Momice launched a brand new platform for online events in the first year of the pandemic: Momice Online.
With tools for audience interaction, a branded live stream page, and automatic online check-in, every online event could now be organized with Momice.2022: Academy, Check-in & ISO
Since the COVID-19 pandemic, Momice has emerged as a thought leader in event organization. Hundreds of event managers attended Momice webinars and downloaded whitepapers and checklists from the Momice Academy.
Momice Check-in & Badges has become a real crowd favorite: "try it once and you'll never want anything else!" according to happy customers.
Momice also passed the security audit with flying colors and was awarded the ISO-27001 certificate.2023: 10 year Momice | NPS +43
2023 is a jubilee year for Momice. More than ever, it becomes clear that Momice is carried by ambassadors and true ProMOters. That’s why we achieved an NPS of +43. 🏆
Momice continues to innovate and renew. For instance, we were the first to launch an AI integration in the tool, and founder Rutger Bremer is a popular speaker at events and workshops in the industry.2024: Momice part of Spotler
A major step for Momice and our customers! Momice has become part of Spotler to continue growing and to offer our customers more integrated tools for marketing and communication, such as email marketing, messaging, and CRM.
